Job Description: The Developer 1 is responsible for ensuring the overall performance of the product by applying software engineering principles to design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation. The Developer is crucial in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software within established release timelines and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop code based on functional specifications, demonstrating a deep understanding of product code.
- Test code to ensure it meets technical specifications and functions as intended before submission for code review.
- Create and implement automated tests and test principles for software changes, including unit tests.
- Adhere to prescribed standards and processes applicable to software development methodology, including planning, work estimation, solution demos, and reviews.
- Contribute to peer code reviews and assist in troubleshooting and responding to production issues for application stability.
- Assist in the implementation of a delivery pipeline, incorporating test automation, security, and performance.
- Contribute to team or product documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Computer Science with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Working knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle.
- Software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages, preferably C#.
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux development environments and working with open-source tools/platforms.
- Understanding of build environments and delivery pipelines.
- Familiarity with test automation and continuous integration tools.
- Basic knowledge of software application testing tools, methodologies, and process frameworks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and discretion.
