Job Qualifications:

This internship is intended for students who are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Dual degree program in Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• Ability to communicate in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Returning to a degree program after the completion of the internship.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, and/or Python.
• Experience in systems software or algorithms as well as in SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services (RESTful, SOAP), JavaScript.
• Available to work full time for 12-14 weeks during the summer.

Job Description:

As an Applications Engineering Intern, you’ll play a key role in developing, deploying and supporting Google’s internal business applications. Responsibilities include building internal solutions with custom front-ends (web, mobile) and back-end services, automating business processes, and maintaining development best practices. The role also involves helping partners with their challenges, understanding operational workflows, and integrating third-party products into internal systems. Interns will work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions and collaborate with internal teams to improve business processes.
