Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical subject, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience:
    • Web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP)
    • Database querying and optimization
    • One or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python)
    • Working with and managing external partners/customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or MBA degree
  • Experience:
    • Customer facing experience in sales, sales engineering, consulting, or related function
    • Online advertising industry
  • Skills:
    • Great communication skills, ability to adapt the message to the technical level of the audience
    • Comfort presenting technical materials to groups of any size and background
    • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail

gTech Professional Services is a customer-centric team of solution-oriented advisors who support customers globally. The Customer Solutions Engineering (CSE) team within gTech Professional Services in Ads collaborates with sales on strategic customers to drive growth in Ads’ business through technical solutions. The team works to solve business problems for advertisers using innovative solutions, ranging from prototypes and demos to education and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify, develop, and optimize new business opportunities, and develop client relationships using Google products and technologies.
  • Act as the technical lead to provide consulting services to partners, build lasting relationships, and be responsive to clients’ needs.
  • Design, create, and present prototypes, demos, and proofs-of-concept to various audiences, from engineers to marketing professionals.
  • Deliver deep technical value to customers’ online, digital initiatives.
  • Travel as required to meet with specific partners/clients in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and create functional specifications.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of tasks and deliverables, escalating issues as necessary.

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including programming stored procedures and functions in T-SQL.
    • Hands-on software engineering development experience.
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
    • Knowledge of RESTful API services and microservice-based architectures.
    • Exposure to Git, Azure DevOps, and Cloud Deployment (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
    • Understanding of containers (Kubernetes).
    • Experience with database-centric performance testing tools.
